Athu and deutsch

Athu to my surprise started talking few german words every now and then,yesterday i was so busy in preparing chappathis and keeping it in a Hot pack (just for my satisfaction,even then the food will be cold :-))i got from India,i said please athhu dont touch ,he replied back yaya das ist immer heiss(yes it is always hot).Then u could imagine what would have happened,I found a person with whom i can practise in deutsch(he he)so we both were talking with each other in the deutsch ,thank god there is no german around.............

He started warning me as i do ,the other day when i was cutting the chicken with the Knife,he came and sat next to me and told "Watch out mom"
oh dear ..couldnt explain how proud i felt...

He has so many questions in his mind and frames it in a nice way ,
we were watching tv ads (only BBC OR CNN as our german is not good to watch local channels)
he saw and advertisement with www.xxxx.uk

Happy New Year to every one who happens to read this blog.finally the much awaited 2010 has begun.we had so many trips with in europe and travelled a lot in 2009.Every time we go out i used to think ,i will blog this occassion,so that athu will have a nice memory after reading this,if not athhu me and hubby will have a good feeling munching all good old things.

I cant recollect everything but still some good trips like the amsterdam trip with Mahesh and family,a wonderful visit to keukenhof gardens.

Visit to Paris for 4 days,stayed in an Indian service appatment ,enjoying indian food mostly south indian like dosai,oothappam,to biiyani,watching sun tv,wow we felt like we were in Bangalore.

Next a visit to Europa Park and Seebach of Germany ,that is really breathtaking.

we hired a car and went with Deepa sanath and family

In seebach I enjoyed the early morning walk,but still i remember how i felt scarey when i was alone in a way to a deep valley.....it was a wonderful moment.

One full day is not enough to enjoy all the rides in euorapa park,wish we should either move close to europa park or the vice versa :-)

Visit to the wine yards and the most interesting thing is we bought a sweet red wine to home,and it was lying in the cupboard for few months ,till my Brother in law visited us few days back.

we took an oath we will finish this bottle today and every body in house tried except athhu,that was another wow experience,as hubby and Bil were stable i started blabbering for few minutes...

we went to Titisee and schwarzwald with hari and family when hari bought a new car it was a one day trip as shruthi was carrying.

Austria trip is anothe fun filled one with a visit to sawroski museum

When the winter started we went to Jungfrau joch the top of europe with aruna rapritwar and family.

In the year end we had a good fun with sudhakar and maha...really that one week we were so busy and enjoyed every moment with them.

we went to zermatt,vettaikaran movie,schwarzwald trip,ice skating,rodel bahn in black forest,Hindu temple in basel.....

lastweek athu had a visit to zoo to see the penguins can any one guess where is athhu in this picccc.

Finally aswath 4th Bday party in Gundeli hall :

we invited around 60 people with 55 turned up for aswaths b-day,where athu enjoyed a lot and loads and loads of work for me and hubby..

poor hubby doesnt know how to say No ,when we pile up more work on him....

ashu on 30 months

its been long time i didnt write any updates on aswath. we are both are so busy these days and at the end of the day we still dont know what kept us so busy.i have been running around here and there searching for a play group for aswath. any ways now he has settled in the play group ,touch wood ,now iam having gr8 relief when he goes to his class with out crying. on may 1st we went to St.Gallen for a one day trip,but the entire trip was very tiring and it was very sunny on that day.but still we enjoyed by taking nice pics in the architeturally important buildings of swiss. on the way back we took a cruise and its in Bodensee,b/w the borders of four countries austria,swiss,germany and lienchestian.we didnt get down from the steamer as we dont have a schengan ,but took snaps when it reached germany..:-) now ashu shows signs of growing ,when i shout at him ,(as usual) ,he started saying no satham,slow va sol(dont raise your voice tell me in low voice). he asks me :athu boy or girl,i will reply back as athu is a boy,then he asked me amma ,iam a girl,nana,yes nana is a boy the he replied back "appo sami(God) boy or girl" at the end he declared god as Girl only. his talks are full of mazhalai and started differentiating langauges,he says pia miss german pesidhi,athu tamil english pesidhi(his play school miss pia talks in german and athu talks both english and tamil). two days back he was saying danke danka on his own ,when hubby asked him what he sai athu pia miss coffe kuthi danke solli(when athu gives coffe to pia miss she says Danke to athu). two weeks back my brother in law vistied us from uk,this is the first time a family member visting us after moved in here.obviously we had gr8 time and athu had masti time with him and double sandhosam for him when his chinna nanna gifted him a Bike. now also he is saying chinnanna bike vangi kodthi whenever he sees that bike. with my BIL we visited Titlis and time we spent in Glacier park is unforgettable. want to write a lot but due to time constraint i stop here,will write more in the coming days...:-)

Tier Park

aswath started identifying all the alphabets and fond of singing rhymes along with me.his favourite rhyme is OLD macdonalds had a farm ,whenever i sing that rhyme ,we can see a big glow in his face.
Nowdays he prefers listening rhymes from the online site www.rajshri.com.
the animation section is extemely good for all the kids from 2-4 yrs of age.now my laptop's home page is not Google,its rajshri....

last sunday when 3 of us were walking on the streets he saw 44 on a door and said 2 four .he gets confused with 6 and 9 sometimes .whenevr i call my parents ,he will snatch the phone from me and read the numbers from 1 to 10 from his book.


last week i gave him some water to drink in his favourite blue cup, but he wanted more,so he asked me 10 water for him 10 is the largest number,iam speechless for a moment.

i thought it would be tough for kids to identify shapes very soon ,but still i used to draw triange ,square ,arrow and rectangle for him evry now and then.
to my surprise he is identifying triangle in lift ,arrows in signals

yday when is was giving bath to him he saw a triangle in the back side of shampoo bottle ,amma triangle two OO,2 o is the double in shampoo

last weekend we went to tier park(Tier-Deer) ,i thought by seeing the deers he will remeber the park as Tier park .but he saw the monkeys there and was very excited .on the way back home i asked him to which park we went now he said MONKEY PARK,no more Tier.
The park is near the banks of rhine and there is a kinder autobahn,even though ashu is too young to ride a bike on his own ,with his nanas help he had full fun by riding a bike ...

WEGGIS AND RIGI KULM

last year for easter weekend we wen to thiruvannamalai for ashus tonsuring,it was a suddenn trip with no plans before hand.
this time weggis trip is very much planned and was the first exciting outing in swiss.
we went with 2 more families to weggis and Rigi Kulm near lucern.we left on saturday morning from basel and returned on monday evening.
First we reached lucern and then we travelled in a boat to weggis.Boat journey was very exciting ,but the strange info is ashu sat in one corner in a kids area and started playing.

we checked in the hotel and had perfect lunch at hotel.i prepared lemon rice ,idli ,chutney and a onion -tomato curry for chappathi.shruti came with pulav and chappathi and bharathi with parottas.

around 2.30 we left the hotel and went to near by mountain,but we came back soon as we dont find anything intersting to do there,on the way we had latte machiatto in a cafe bar.
next day we left to rigi kulm and the journey in the train cant be expressed in words,
from weggis we went by boat till rigi kaltbad and from kaltbad we went by train to kulm.

its around 5600 mts high from the ground level and ashu enjoyed a lot playing in snow .


after having lunch in rigi kulm we came back to weggis by cable car.


It was quite a good experience and had lots of fun ,ashu enjoyed a lot than all of us.next day instead of going to lido for swimming we did the same thing and checked out and came back to basel.
now its time to give an update on ashu:

ashu remembers train as koo and nowadays evry now and then he is asking me shall we go by koo.

he started recognising alphabets and starts reading every where ,last week he saw a tag in a dress with number 80,and he reads it as "eight-o",for him zero is o,so its my mistake of not teaching him zero .

two days back after having lunch i took one chocolate and gave him one for eating.
i put the cover near the night table ,he saw that and exprssed his dissatisfaction,by saying "Coverrrrrr no no""
i understood what he was trying to express so i asked him "then where i should put the chocalate cover"??
he immediately got down from the bed ,took the chocolate covers and said duut bin(dust bin) went to kitchen ,throwed it in the bin and came back with a smile on his face., ( now where i should hang my self??)

we went out for a walk near zum park,there was a tram track also ,ashu immediately got down on the track ,before we could realise ,hubby slapped him nicely ,ashu cried and finally told hubby "ILOVE U KA KA KA"
poor fellow he doesnt know how to express i hate u ,so he said "i love u -ka ka"

he is doing a lot of new things every day but i dont find time to write it,now he is sleeping ,so iam writing as much as i can........ after all its MY TIME.

ashu on 27 months and dinner at home

aswath krishna is called as ashu/athu at home as a nick name ,but when i registered his name a krishna in the preview class ,he did nt agree to call him as krishna,he said in loud voice "heyyyyyyy no noo athu""

i was really shocked for a moment and then whispered to him athu dont say heyyy in that tone ,he nodded his head ,in the way of yes ,but still opposed throught out the entire session when the miss called him as krishna.two time he said DOO KAA to her ,thank god she didnt understand what doo kaa means.

ashu is showing signs of growing these days and i have clicked those moments ,when he wore his trouser all alone by himself ,with out calling me.he wears his shoes with out socks.
Today iam really wondered and felt proud for a second when he passed sussu all alone with out calling me .mostly he would be wearing diapers when we go out .These days i have started training him how to pass sussu in the toilet.
today he followed all the steps i have told ,i hided myself and surprised.

first he removed ,his trousers,climbed with the help of a handle,passed sussu,turned towards the wash basin washed his hands,but didnt come out for 3-5 minutes,still washing......then i called him ashu what r u doing ,then he came out and wore his trousers all by himself.

when some one asks him to tell abcd he will say a,b,r,double u,thats it.finished .

when me and huddy have dinner ,he will come and sit with us and with little rice in his plate till we finish our food,if one of us finished and move for washing ,he will follow exactly what we do ,like throwing the waste in the plate to bin and keeping the plates near dish washer.

where ever we go and come back ,as soon as we enter the home he will keep his shoes inside the shoe rack with the socks inside and keeps his pram near the store room.
There are few days when i asked him to keep my shoes also inside the rack.when i told this to my mom ,

she said to me "u and ur sister should try to learn from him" :-)

when i get angry some times i will raise my hands on him,some times i will shout at him.so one fine day i did a mistake of saying a tamil word "mogara....",dont want to say the full word atleat here.

now a days if i scold him ,he in turn started saying "katta",with full anger in his face he is saying "amma katta",when i told this to hubby ,obviously u know who got the scoldings.

so im in the process of stop using that word ....

hope it happens????


when i start saying about ashu ,i totally forgot everything,for the past 10 days iam planning to write about the dinner we hosted for hubbys office colleagues,but never had an opportunity to write abut it.

yes this is the first time i preapred food for 10 + 2 people,with me and hubby.
i was really worried whether every thing will come out well or not.
In bangalore i have maids to help me and we have hosted several dinners ,so i dont have any completed pressure on me.

but here though this is the first time and i felt like i should be able to do that.
a day before i have grinded the idli batter ,and the menu is typical south indian type,"IDLI,SAMBAR,PONGAL,CHUTNEY,CHICKEN CURRY ,rava pottu AND GULAB JAMMOONS"

every bdy said the food was good ,i felt little bad when there was a shortage for idli and sambar at the end ,i should have preapared more,but hubby, shruti and hari convinced me by saying it happens ,when the food is good....

okie let me take a oath that i will blog a lot in the coming days
